After looking at all the events that happened, which one do you think is more powerful: science or superstition?
The doctors use both science and superstition as a medicine for Dracula's harm. However, only superstition worked effeciently. Scientific cure such as blood transfusion didn't work as well as the one that was used with superstition. During the section, using garlic flowers and putting on cruxifix actually worked well. So, in conclusion, i think that till now, superstition is more powerful than science. "Ishall cut off her head and fill her mouth with garlic, and I shall drive a stake through her body. (, 179)"
Why do you think Dracula is indomitable so far?
Dracula has a power that nobody can exceed. He can change his body into a bat, dog, and many other shapes. Till, now, because the humans don't know for sure about the existence about Dracula, it is difficult for them fight Dracula. Also, it is the end of the chapter, that Van Helsing has some basic idea that Dracula had started the problem. No one knows where Dracula is but only knows the victims.
